Eight fine birders joined me today for the Baltimore Bird Clubıs trip to
Soldiers Delight NEA (Natural Environment Area). We were graced with the
company of El Presidente Ultimo. Thatıs the last time we carry anyone three
(plus) miles!

Highlights: A male SUMMER TANAGER! Fourteen warbler species: Nashville,
Chestnut Sided, Black-throated Blue, Mytle, Black-throated Green, Pine,
Prairie, Palm (Western), Black-and-white, Worm-eating, Ovenbird, Common
Yellowthroat, Hooded, and Yellow-breasted Chat (heard only). Two
Red-breasted Nuthatch foraged in the scrub pines on the East side of Deer
Park Road. Veery, and Yellow-billed Cuckoo.

All,
Inspired by everything listed except having to carry El Presidente Webb,
I checked out Soldier's delight this AM on my own. I got a nice look at the
Tanager and heard or saw a lot of the other highlights. Missed the
Nashville, Chat, Cuckoo and Veery. Also found Ruby-crowned Kinglet.
And the "Mytle Warbler" I found had an 'r' after the y. Does it still
count?
