Is there some sort of guidelines for political spam on this list? Is there an assumption that all subscribers agree with all environmental-related legislation and are opposed to all development? Because it sure seems that way in the political messages that come through here every now and then. I can understand a discussion or debate of specific issues, but political calls to action, like this one, filled with inflammatory words like "...would destroy the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.." don't seem to be discussion topics related to birds and birding.

Anyone here birded in the ANWR? What did you see? If a discussion of birding in Virginia is Off Topic, is a discussion of birding in Alaska also OT? And if yes, then is a discussion of oil and where to drill for it in Alaska also OT?
