Bob Augustine tells me he went looking for the Cedar Lane (Bethesda) 
Yellow-crowned Night-Heron and succeeded in finding the bird and the nest.   If I got 
this right, it is just off the intersection of Elmhirst and Broad Brook about 
halfway toward the Beltway.   Now that's adaptation to a suburban environment 
for you!
