I enjoyed leading my first trip for MBC yesterday. Some highlights:

Bufflehead 2
Blue-winged Teal and a Common Merganser flyby
Barred Owl
Great-crested Flycatcher
Red-eyed Vireo
Prothonotary Warbler
Louisiana Waterthrush
N Parulas
Montevideo Rd:
Prairie Warbler
Indigo Bunting
near intersection of Montevideo and Sugarland Rds
BOBOLINK 3, on fruit trees near pond on Homestead farm property
Eastern Meadowlark
Grasshopper, Savannah, White-crowned and White-throated Sparrow (part of
9 sparrow day that also included towhee, Chipping, Field, Song and Swamp)
American Kestrel
Dry Seneca Crk horse trails (either side of Sugarland Rd)
YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT 2
Lots of Yellow Warblers, Common Yellowthroats and White-eyed Vireos.
Dry Seneca Crk/Seneca Crk horse trail:
Pretty slow at mid-day but we did have a Blue-headed Vireo and a
Black-throated Green, Prairie Warbler, N Parula, and a Solitary Sandpiper
Went over to Watt's Branch this morning for a short time. Very slow
with only a B and W Warbler, a few Yellow-rumps, Purple Finches,
Wood Thrush and Orchard Oriole. Ran into Paul O'brien, who said that
with the exception of a Nashville Warbler yesterday, things have been
pretty slow.
