This morning's treat in Fort Bayard was a very cooperative singing BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER, who gave me great sunlit looks for several minutes. It was hard to tear myself away from the flame-colored little guy, but there were a couple of other nice birds, too. I had a ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK again today, but this time it was a singing male (also really cooperative, giving me a long look at near-eye level).

We had our first Rose breasted Grosbeak at our backyard feeder last night (Havre de Grace, Harford Cty). It was a bright, beautiful male. I got some photos, which must wait until the film comes back before posting.

I also saw and heard several White Eyed Vireos near my work place on Aberdeen Proving Grounds. They were singing very loudly, and they responded well to pishing. I got some nice, closeup views of them yesterday and the day before. For those of you on or near APG, I saw them in the trees along the road just past the vehicle recovery training area.
