The plan was to meet up with Peter Frechtel and bird the Mall this
afternoon. Missed Peter, but found a LINCOLN'S SPARROW in the blooming
holly just south of the DC WWI Memorial. Several White-throateds around,
too.
Just like last week, an AMERICAN COOT was in the Constitution Gardens
pond. 2 Kingbirds, a Scarlet Tanager, and a Baltimore Oriole were present.
Warblers included Black & White, Parula, Yellow, several Yellow-rumps,
Chestnut-sided, and Ovenbird. Peter also found a Blackpoll while he was
trying to find me (probably a good trade).
