Wednesday, May 17th - “India, Nature’s Exotic Jewel”. Join Arlene Ripley
as she takes you on a photographic journey to the Indian Subcontinent
where she and her husband experienced three weeks of nature travel in
early 2004. Areas covered were from Delhi to the Bengal Tiger sanctuaries
of Bandhavgarh and Ranthambhore, Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary and some
World Heritage cultural sites. The final week began with a flight from
Delhi to far eastern Assam Province and Kaziranga National Park, home to
many birds and mammals especially wild elephants and the Indian One-horned
Rhinoceros.
Doors open at 7:00 pm (with light refreshments) and meeting starts at 7:30
