Last night at approximately 1:00 in the morning, I spotted at least 3 COMMON NIGHTHAWKS putting on a great show!  They flew so close, I didn't even need my bins.  The location was off of RTE 272.  Best view was from the West Bay Marine boating supply store, just in front of the Food Lion off of rte. 40.  They were hawking insects near the lights there, and are quite a sight!   I'm not sure if they nest in the area or just passing through.  Does anyone know?  I'll continue to keep an eye out for  them!  Don't you love the amazing birds of this world!
