Hi Everyone,

I decided to chase a few birds reported yesterday with little success.

I started at Violette's Lock and looked for Andy Martin's Mourning Warbler and Terns. No luck, but did see a Magnolia and a Redstart. I then tried for Jim Green Alder Flycatcher which he had heard along River road between Sycamore Landing and Hughes roads without success. I tried Hughes Hollow next and was rewarded with a Least Bittern flying and then perching on some low vegetation in the marsh. Great looks for five to ten minutes before it flew again. Also had looks at a Common Morehen in the first impoundment on the right. Ended the morning at Riley's Lock where there was a male Common Merganser out in the river.
