Thanks to Jim for leading this wonderful evening of birding and to both he
and Keith for helping us locate and identify the great birds we saw! Hey,
eight Lifers for me, including that Least Bittern, three new Warblers, and
all those Common Nighthawks! Now, about that keg of beer I seem to
remember people promising me for spotting the Bittern...

During the walk I mentioned the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area Tour near
Upper Marlboro, MD, a great place for birding -
www.pgparks.com/places/parks/baytour.html If you're there this Sunday and
see a flock of 15 or so kayakers paddle past on the Patuxent River or
Mattaponi Creek, wave - I'm leading a trip there Sunday for my club, the
Chesapeake Paddlers Association (www.cpakayaker.com). We'll chase the
shorebirds over to you.

Thanks again for the great tour at Ft. McHenry (see ya next week!), and
good birding to all,

Barry
