I saw a catbird just yesterday on my deck railing eating hulled
sunflower seeds. I know for sure it was eating the seeds, not
insects, because I could see the seeds in its bill and the bird
swallowing them.
By the way, the catbirds in my yard prefer peanut suet when they can
get it, but the starlings eat the suet in about a day, so I don't
currently have any in the feeders.
