We have been keeping our suet feeder up all summer since we learned that it is an excellent way to confirm local breeders! Right now recently fledged Nuthatches, Chickadees, & Carolina Wrens are being fed by their parents from the suet. For the last two summers we've had Hairy Wps with their young -- otherwise we haven't seen a nest in this block -- as well as Cardinals, Catbirds, Flickers, Titmice, and quite a host of others hanging from the feeders. (Unfortunately also House Sparrows and Starlings)
