This bird was still there as of about 11:40 AM today (Friday). It was in the same general area- as you face the bay, the bird was in the gravel right by the drainage culvert. It let me get within a couple of feet, and it just slowly shuffled around a little. It never got in the water, and it never tried to fly. I didn't see any obvious signs of trauma or injury, but that dosn't mean much. With all the raptors around there I am surprised it hasn't become a meal for one of them.
