Yesterday (Sat, 6/3) I stopped by Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens in DC
and saw 3 birds that were new for me "DC in June" list. I was unable to
confirm breeding for any of them, but wonder if they might not be trying.
They were COOPER'S HAWK (seen flying over 295 just east of KAG), SAVANNAH
SPARROW (KP), and EASTERN MEADOWLARK (KP). The hawk was molting, but I was
unable to determine age. Something to keep an eye out for.
