Hi Ugo,

I checked on them today as well and saw the two young night herons near the
playground. Further up Sligo Creek Parkway, the nest over the parkway just
before it hits Wayne Avenue also had two young birds. I have not checked the
nest downstream near the Flower Avenue playground (this location is over the
parkway before it intersects with Flower, about a quarter mile or so from
where the parkway deadends at New Hampshire Avenue).

Hello,

I checked on the Yellow-crowned night herons that nest in Sligo Creek Par
k
today, after I had been away three weeks, and saw at least 2 young ones
hopping around the nest and on the branch. Not as good as last year (the
re
were 5 or 6 young ones) but still exciting. A good spot to view them is f
rom
the playground on Dale Drive, between the swings and the creek.
