Success! I went over to the Rio pond just now and it didn't take long to 
find the Black Bellied Whistling Duck among the Canada Geese! It's very 
close to the covered pavilion and bridge near the It was worth sweating 
for a good look. He (or she? they look alike, don't they?) does seem very 
content, even with the geese poking at him. Unfortunatley I forgot my 
camera and will probably return tomorrow to add a photo to my collection. 
A lifer in Gaithersburg! Whoda thunk?
