On Tuesday, I did a bird survey at a farm by the Patuxent River in St
Mary's County (near Cremona). I was surprised to see a few late
shorebirds in a wet field that was created for a wildlife habitat project;
there were 3 semipalmated sandpipers and 1 pectoral sandpiper.
Of interest for the Atlas, I found horned lark and numerous (4-5) willow
flycatchers. I will submit all my findings (56+ sp.) for the Atlas
Project (Mechanicsville NE).
