People have noted the occurrence of the S. Lapwing in MD on the Florida 
listserv and are rethinking the bird they observed.  Two individuals 
posted that they saw the bird with extensive views.  From having seen 
hundreds of these birds (other subspecies) in South America, if it is 
around it should be pretty easy to find.  They fly around a lot like big 
Killdeer constantly vocalizing loudly in a very distinctive manner.  They 
also frequently fly and vocalize at night.
