MD OSprey:

FYI ... forwarded from the Seabirds listserver ...

 >From the Southcoastal Maine Rare Bird Alert posted on June 15, 2006.

Could this be another sighting of the wandering individual(s) sighted
this year from North Carolina to Massachusetts?

A third-hand report of a possible **ALBATROSS** was received on 6/11.
At 11:11 am, the bird was reported from over the Royal River in
Yarmouth from I-295. Unfortunately, word wasn't received until 2
hours later. A handful of birders checked various nearby locales, but
to no avail. Following recent sightings of a Yellow-nosed Albatross in
New Hampshire and Massachusetts, the only thing surprising would be
this up-river (and interior-bay) location.

Clearly it pays to keep your eyes peeled, no matter how unpelagic the
body of water!
