After surveying my atlas block this a.m., I swung by Needwood Road,
just off Munchaster Mill Road near Magruder HS. This road passes by
one end of Lake Needwood and the draw-down of the lake after flooding
was very evident. This looks like a good place to watch out for
shorebird over the next month-plus.

This a.m., while scanning the exposed mud on both sides of the road,
I found the following:

2 great egrets
7 great blue herons
6-7 killdeer
1 least sandpiper
1 spotted sandpiper
