While sitting out on the deck after dinner this evening, imagine my suprise
when my daughter called excitedly from indoors saying "Papa, papa, there's a
hummingbird in the house!" Sure enough there was a female or immature
Ruby-throated Huummingbird flitting about the family room. How the bird
entered the house remains a mystery since all of the windows are screened.
It must have made it's way in through an open door. Fortunately I was able
to catch it quickly with a butterfly net and release it ourdoors. The
hummer is my first entry on my new indoor bird list.
