A Swallow-tailed Kite was seen at Cromwell Valley Park on Friday, Aug. 18th. Park naturalist Kate
Manrodt observed the bird for several minutes before it headed north towards Loch Raven
Reservoir at 11:30 am. This is the first report of a Swallow-tailed that we know of at CVP. Kate
also reported seeing a Blue-winged Warbler and a Black and White Warbler on Monday the 14th.
I plan on birding at CVP on Saturday morning and will post to MDOSPREY if the Swallow-tailed Kite
is seen.
