While taking a walk down the road this evening, I saw a female American
Redstart.

On another nature note, I discovered several Puss Caterpillars (Southern
Flannel Moth) in a honey locust tree in the yard ... kinda' like a
miniature tribble but you would not want to pet one!

NEW Topic: The ABA is sponsoring an international conference next
September in Quito. I have never been to South America for birding and I
am interested in getting any comments or concerns about venturing to
Quito. I also have a secondary interest in going there. My wife and I
have sponsored students in Quito thru the Christian Foundation for
Children and Aging for the past 15 years and we would love to meet some of
them. Comments off-line unless you believe others would be interested in
what you might say about the conference in Quito. Thanks

ps: The Scissor-tailed Flycatcher is still in the same field that it has
been in for the past 2 weeks just north of Bombay Hook.
