Hi All,
To my big surprise, I heard the familiar call of a palm warbler in a yard
tree near the Rock Glen Nursing Home walking home this afternoon. I
started pishing and managed to get a really good look at a presumably
hatch-year western palm warbler, constantly pumping it's tail. This appear
very early in the season to me, and curiously coinciding with the early
influx of yellow-rumps.

The fall is upon us!

Good birding,
