43 BULLBATS (COMMON NIGHTHAWKS), in 2 separate flocks, were hawking for insects low over pastures and fields at the corner of Seneca Road and Springfield Road, Darnestown, Montgomery County, from 5 pm to 5:30 pm on Thursday Sept. 7. I had never seen so many in one place. Several hundred feet above, a group of approx 100 swallows and swifts were doing the same thing.
