Hello All,
   
  Last night around 7:30 pm, I watched 3 nighthawks hunt over our house for a good 20 minutes.  We live near Georgia Ave and Columbia Road (the Columbia Heights neighborhood of Washington DC). The birds were low enough to see the white wing bands, but they got progressively higher until they drifted to the north and out of sight.  We also had an imm. female common yellowthroat hanging around the garden during the morning.  It's fun to see these wild animals in our decidedly urban setting.
