I've been trying to work today, but every time I look out the window,
there's some new migrant activity. Right now, there's an imm.
yellow-bellied sapsucker in our plum tree. The pokeweed had a phoebe
and a red-eyed vireo, with a magnolia warbler nearby. A lone catbird
gulped down porcelainberry and pokeweed. A first winter
white-throated sparrow is the first at our feeders this fall.
Ruby-crowned kinglet working the branches above. Had a Swainson's
thrush yesterday. Wonder what's next?
