Hi Folks,

Like John Hubbell, Bill Hubick and I also birded Washington Co. today,
but spent most of the day there. Though we didn't pick up anything
particularly unusual, the birds were still magnificant and plentiful. Top
birds for the day were GREAT EGRET, LEAST FLYCATCHER, LINCOLN'S SPARROW, and
a few late migrants and migrant warblers. We also had a "Washington County
Fallout of Shorebirds": four species!
Despite both Bill and I having atlas blocks in the county, it was one of
the most poorly birded counties for both of us, as we both sorely needed
migrants for our county lists. As a result, we combined to get 30 new
county birds--15 for each of us. The rundown (of primarily migrants):

The loop formed by Woodmont, Pearre, Donea, and Willow Roads:
Wood Duck--2
Osprey--1
E. Screech-Owl--2
