"My" Red-breasted Nuthatches may be returning for the winter.  I 
heard one (but didn't see it) today in my yard in the usual 
location: a row of dense juniper bushes near my feeders. There was 
some hulled sunflower seed on the deck railing. This was around 8:00 am.
