Hi Everybody,
The Kent County Bird Club will be hosting a field trip to Bombay Hook
NWR in Delaware on Sunday 22 October. Our primary targets will be
waterfowl (starting to really burgeon), raptors, herons, and shorebirds.
Unfortunately the most recent reports on the Birdline Delaware birding
hotline date back to a week and a half ago. We can certainly hope that
some of the 400 American Avocets reported then are still around as well
as many other shorebirds and Snow Geese. Nancy and I will meet birders
in front of the Dollar General across from the end of Spring St. in
Chestertown (across from the vulture roost) at 8:00 AM on Sunday. If you
wish to meet us in Delaware please give us a call so we may plan on your
attendance. We hope to see you Sunday.
Good birding,
Walter Ellison & Nancy Martin
