Hi Everyone,
It was another great autumn weekend on the Shore. Mark Hoffman covered all of the exciting birds from the gang on Assateague, but another highlight was finding a first-winter FRANKLIN'S GULL at the pig farm on Indiantown Road in Dorchester Co. This bird appears to be a different individual than has been seen over the last few weeks. Also present there were an interesting ALBINO RING-BILLED GULL and an unexpected BONAPARTE'S GULL. I've posted photos of the former two, the Assateague LARK SPARROW, the Easton EARED GREBE, a few more expected species, and several of the 1.5 billion Myrtles (exact count) seen on the Shore this weekend.
