An adult Red-tailed Hawk was soaring over the front on the Dept. of Interior
Building
on C St. between 18th and 19th NW yesterday about 4:45 p.m. This bird was
being harrassed by two American Crows. It had no apparent belly band.

Crossing the Anacostia on E. Capitol Street on Wednesday, one Great Egret was
roosting a tree right next to the north side of the bridge on the east side
of the
island at roughly 7:10 a.m. Yesterday there were two at about 7:05 a.m. Today,
the bus was running much earlier, and crossed about 6:50 a.m. Light was
virtually
non-existent, but there appeared to be five white blobs in the same tree.
