I thought Cromwell Valley Park might hold some goodies, so I took the
day off. Ended up without any rare sparrows, though there was no
shortage of Song Sparrows.

Eastern Phoebe - 1
Winter Wren - 8
Golden-crowned Kinglet - 15
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 50+
Hermit Thrush - 3
Cedar Waxwing - 1 juv.
Yellow-rumped Warbler - 3
Palm Warbler - 8 (all eastern)
Common Yellowthroat - 1 (seems late)
Eastern Towhee - 7
Chipping Sparrow - 20
Field Sparrow - 15
Song Sparrow - 200+
Swamp Sparrow - 5
White-throated Sparrow - 60
White-crowned Sparrow - 10
Dark-eyed Junco - 21

On Wednesday (10/25) I stopped by the park after work (though only about
10 minutes before dark). One advantage to arriving so late was that I
was treated with the hooting of a Great Horned Owl. Also had a flock of
over 100 Chipping Sparrows before the light faded.

Cheers,
