Brandon Miller and I birded a number of lakes and reservoirs in Garrett
yesterday to see what waterfowl are moving through. Rain and mixed snow
occurred on and off throughout the day. We successfully twitched the Surf
Scoter at Piney Reservoir (thanks Mikey), had 14 species of waterfowl, two
swallow species, and two heron species. The next few weeks should bring in
more species and better numbers. Highlights below:
