Gail and Barry,

My first DC Sedge Wren was in the maintenance yard on October 21, 1990. It was found by Dave Czaplak. I believe it was seen again during the next two or three days, but I could be mistaken in my recollection.

My second DC Sedge Wren I found on about September 20 of about 2000, also in the maintenance yard.

Nice birds!

  Hi all --
Again, we took a trip down to Rock Creek Park DC as it looked to be a good day for something interesting to show up. We were not disappointed as we had good looks at TWO (count 'em) SEDGE WRENS in the Maintenance Yard.

...

These are the second and third Sedge Wrens seen at Rock Creek this year, the
other being in the spring. As I've noted, this is the latest in the autumn we've continued at Rock Creek, so whether Sedge Wren is a regular albeit rare migrant or this was a "one-off" occurrence, don't know. We were the only birders present.
