North Arundel: Sparrows, Peregrine, Loons

Hello all.

I ventured into Weinberg Park for about three hours today. Highlights included 
6 sparrow species, 3 Common Loons and an adult Peregrine Falcon flyover.  
Overall, it was good autumn birding.

Totals:

Common Loon: 3  On the Patapsco
Double-crested Cormorant: 23  Many flying and roosting around 'White Rocks'
Great Blue Heron: 2  Pond area
Canada Goose: 26
Mallard: 18  
Wood Duck: 2 females in open cove on park's east side
Black Vulture: 1
Red-tailed Hawk: 2
Sharp-shinned Hawk: 2 moving southward
Peregrine Falcon: 1 adult flying low and fast, due west
Ring-billed Gull: 30+
Great Black-backed Gull: 2
Mourning Dove: 4
Rock Pigeon: 1 flyover
Belted Kingfisher: 2  flew past the overlook along Rock Creek
Red-bellied Woodpecker: 5
Northern Flicker: 4
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker: 2
Downy Woodpecker: 6  Including one very vocal group of 3
Hairy Woodpecker: 1 female
Eastern Phoebe: 1  Still hanging around, hunting along Dauses Rd.
Blue Jay: 35 +/-
American Crow: 5  Mobbing something that I couldn't see
Fish Crow: 3
Carolina Chickadee: 9
Tufted Titmouse: 4
White-breasted Nuthatch: 3  I kept listening for a RBNU, but not yet...
Carolina Wren: 7  All sections of the park were represented
Golden-crowned Kinglet: 2
Ruby-crowned Kinglet: 14
American Robin: 2  At trail end 
Hermit Thrush: 2  
European Starling: 15  Flyover flock
Northern Cardinal: 14
Eastern Towhee: 7  Again, good numbers
Song Sparrow: 26  Trail end and meadow areas
Savannah Sparrow: 4  Closer to the beach area, w/ Song Sparrows
Swamp Sparrow: 1  Picked out among a group of Song Sp.
White-throated Sparrow: 50+  Several groups
Slate-colored Junco: 6 
Red-winged Blackbird: 4
Common Grackle: 130+ Several flyover groups
House Finch: 3
American Goldfinch: 6
