Hi all --

As they say, "what a difference a day makes..." -- rather quiet at Rock
Creek Park DC today, after a great night for birds to move out -- and they
did! (For the most part, that is.) Far fewer sparrows, no warblers, needless
to say, NO Sedge Wrens - ah well. We did see our first Fox Sparrow of the
season and enjoyed good looks at hoards of feeding Robins and Waxwings in
the Maintenance Yard. Military Field was dead. Lots of Chipping Sparrows at
the Ridge, not much else!

Migrants: Hermit Thrush (2), Eastern Bluebird (6), Brown Thrasher (1-2),
Ruby-crowned Kinglet (10), Golden-crowned Kinglet (~15), FOX SPARROW (1),
Field Sparrow (1), Chipping Sparrow (~50), Swamp Sparrow (3-4),
White-throated Sparrow (~25), Song Sparrow (~20), Towhee (6), Cedar Waxwing
(~50), Robin (lots!!).
