Some of the people who came over to see the Inca Dove were
interested in the material we use to make our windows opaque
to birds (on the outside) but transparent to birders (on the
inside). The material is called CollidEscape and is
available from Large Format Digital at $3/sq ft, with some
proceeds going to FLAP, the Fatal Light Awareness Program.
The product page is here:
http://www.lfdcollidescape.com/mainindex.php?page=home&country=united_states
And there's a nice description about the material on FLAP's
website here:
http://www.flap.org/new/film.htm
I don't work for either of these organizations, but I can
attest to the effectiveness of the material at eliminating
bird strikes (and providing some privacy!).
Cheers,
D
P.S. No sign of the Inca Dove so far this rainy morning.
