convincing argument for double-crested cormorant, especially if you

Obviously I am too late to comment on the Swamp Sparrow. The
Cormorant however is a quite typical imm. Double-crested
Cormorant. Look at the gular pouch: it is bright orange, square and
goes all the way around underneath the chin. This is typical
DC and excludes all other cormorants. The white face is not atypical
for DC. In Neotropic the gular pouch is pointed, the
chin is feathered. The white line in adult Neotropics follows the
shape of the gular pouch. Also the bird looks too heavy for a
Neotropic.
