I spent a couple of hours at Horsehead (Chesapeake Bay Environmental
Center - CBEC) on the Eastern Shore on Saturday morning. At the canoe
launching area there were a thousand or so Ruddy Ducks and 1 male
Bufflehead ... yes, I may have missed a female Bufflehead. I also had 2
Horned Grebes.

Of interest were 3 floating birds a good distance away. They were not
floating together but were maybe 100 yards apart. I did not have my spotting
scope, just 8x bins, but based on what I could make out it appeared to be 3
Common Loons.
I had nothing on the bay side.
The day was beautiful. A great day to be birding.
