Hi Folks,

Elaine and I enjoyed the exceptionally beautiful Saturday weather driving
the roads of western Worcester Co. (west of the Pocomoke River) as our part
of the annual Worcester Co. Rarity Roundup, and came home today via Wicomico
and Talbot Counties in the rain. For the Saturday count our species tally
was rather low (5 fewer than last year), though we had some good numbers of
certain birds, including 5 Barred Owls in four different locations, and 14
Brown-headed Nuthatches in three locations, most of which were in an
insanely active and noisy group along Old Furnace Rd. Highlights:

Barred Owl--5
YB Sapsucker--3
Pileated Woodpecker--3
BH Nuthatch--14
Winter Wren--2
Hermit Thrush--18

E. Meadowlark--32

Today we spent all morning in Wicomico Co., and left when the rain began
to get heavy, stopping in Talbot Co. on the way home. Highlights:
