It being such a nice day, I walked back to my downtown office from
the State Department, along the Mall and Constitution Gardens. 
 
    In the lake were 5 American Coots, a Grebe (almost certainly the
pied-billed noted earlier, but I didn't have bins) and a GB Heron. Then
a Red-Tailed Hawk flew overhead. Lovely! (Didn't see the Shovelers)
