The Red-throated Loon reported yesterday by Kye Jenkins was still present
this morning at 1100. It was off the southern tip of the old picnic area, just
where Kye found it. It eventually swam to the east and settled near the
shoreline closest to the skeet club. Nice adult.
I saw most of the other birds reported yesterday, but also a tight group of 8
HORNED GREBES and a distant raft of about 25 SCAUP. I did not see any
Bonaparte's Gulls.
Thanks, Kye, for a good county bird.
