On Thanksgiving Day, a beautiful, immature female Cooper's Hawk put on quite a show as she plucked and feasted on a male House Sparrow while perched on my mother's fence.  Long looks of the hawk's plumage from every angle, including the collection of raindrops on her tail feathers.  She made more than one appearance yesterday.
