A very grey and breezy morning, beginning at Hains Point, produced
neither the Brant (second dip!) or the Northern Pintail. I did have a
small raft of 20 Bufflehead, 2 Ruddy Ducks and 1 female Hooded Merganser
on the river side of the point.
 
   A larger raft of Bufflehead was in the river off West Potomac Park.
 
  A final quick stop at Constitution Gardens yielded:
 
  American Coot (4)
  Brown Creeper
  Northern Shovelers (2)
  Pied-Billed Grebe
 
  Those last 2 are new for my DC list.
