I hear that, that is exactly is why I don't go in the woods or marshes right now - very narrowly avoided being shot once , not doing that again. I just don't hike during hunting season.
   
  Luckily for me the momo barely knew which end was the business end and probably ended up shooting his foot off.  I think he also learned that bears and wolves do not speak English (or in this case "French" if you get my meaning) 'cept in the cartoons...

It's ironic that the ducks on the bay are out there because of waterfowl
hunters. There are concerns that the current decline in the number of
licensed hunters (and anglers) will result in subsequent decreases in
revenue, which enable waterfowl conservation and habitat preservation and
expansion. Managed hunting, in my humble opinion, benefits all natural
resource stakeholders.
