There is one accepted record of Gryfalcon in MD.
If you go to the MD/DCRC web pages here ...
http://www.mdbirds.org/mddcrc/rcindex.html
... then navigate to the "Birds of Maryland" section and take the
link to the Maryland database. The database will load (it's a large
PDF file - don't print it!) and then do a search or find for "gyr"
... this will take you to the four database entries for Gyrfalcon,
including the accepted Frederick County record from Feb - Mar 1994.
Back in the 1980's several birds used to show up regularly in winter
around the Lancaster, PA area.
