Decided to scope some ducks today. Was fairly successful with 19 species
for the day. All except for C. Goldeneye were at the Chesapeake Bay
Environmental Center/Horsehead Wetlands. The huge raft of Canvasbacks
(hundreds) and Ruddy Ducks (hundreds too) there is impressive. The
non-waterfowl highlight were 6 Brown-headed Nuthatches. At Sandy Point
State Park I found 12 Laughing Gulls and 13 Common Goldeneye among the
hundreds of Greater Scaup, Bufflehead and Ruddy Ducks.
