A word of caution regarding the Ross' goose mentioned in the field(s) at Croom
and Nottingham Road intersection. There is a white feral (domestic) goose
that moves around with other wild Canada geese here, and it was seen at this
field twice this week. It should be easily recognized by its large size. The
Ross' is obviously small and unless seen alone it should be easy to tell whether
the goose is about the size of a Canada Goose (or larger), or if it is really small
(about the size of a cackler).
