Frances & I tried for the Ross's Goose seen earlier today
and yesterday at Schoolhouse Pond in Upper Marlboro, MD (PG
County), but didn't find it. We did, however, have nice
close-up views of TRUMPETER SWAN #962 (bright yellow wing
tags with black numbering) -- not considered wild and/or
countable, right? Other birds seen are in my eBird report
below.

Location name: Schoolhouse Pond, Upper Marlboro
Observation type: Stationary Count
Observation date: 12/29/06
Start time: 2:30 PM

Comments: A visit to Schoolhouse Pond in search of a
reported Ross's Goose, but no luck. Mostly sunny, light
breeze, cool. We did find the Trumpeter Swan (#962) that has
been reported off and on in the area -- not considered wild.
Also plenty of domestic geese and ducks.
